As I was rambling through the “twitterverse” exploring different links one site popped up that I have been enjoying immensely.  It’s name says it all: Art is Fun! I’ve yet to explore the entire site, but the initial link led me to a page describing how to create your own Mandala.  Now I’ve seen mandala art many times and admired it but never really took the time or thought to try it for myself.  Having a step-by-step guide was enough to get me going.  That was late last week, today I started my fifth mandala.  I can’t seem to stop!  The repetitive pattern and ability to be creative yet keep to certain boundaries is very soothing to me.  I truly do not notice time passing when I am absorbed in drawing one of these images.

If you are looking for something different and fun to try you might enjoy this or one of the many other “how to” articles on the “Art is Fun” site.  An added bonus is being able to view all the beautiful “fun” work by the sites hostess, Thaneeya McArdle!

Happy Exploring,

Lynne
